(1-0 England) 11¹ Uncertainty in the English defence enabled FERGUSON to fire an effort wide. 19¹ PICKFORD was able to palm clear a wicked shot. 24¹ The hapless Irish 'keeper was all agog as a backpass from IDAH dropped just wide. 35¹ GOAL!! A wonderful bit of skill enabled SAKA to dribble through the Irish defence and score. (2-0 England) 39¹ GOAL!! A debatable penalty was awarded to Irish, after STONES had fouled IDAH which FERGUSON comfortably converted. (2-1 England) 41¹ GOAL!! A English counter-attack allowed KANE to setup SAKA with an easy goal. (3-1 England) 46¹ A twenty yard drive from FERGUSON caused the 'keeper no problem. 47¹ SAKA brought the ball past SCALES and stabbed a tame shot into the crowd. 7² A lovely cross from PALMER was shot goalbound by SAKA only for the 'keeper to block. 9² A tame shot from WALKER rolled agonisingly wide. 10² GOAL!! A nice run by WALKER on the right was capped by a wonderful cross which FODEN headed in at the near post. (4-1 England) 16² The Irish 'keeper did well to hold onto a wicked strike from SAKA. 22² A lovely effort from KANE scraped the outside of the lefthand post. 23² FERGUSON kicked the ball wide of the lefthand post from just inside the area. 24² SAKA was put clear by FODEN and he beat the Irish 'keeper but thrust his shot just beyond the far post. 25² SAKA headed over. 31² WALKER made space on the left and pulled the ball to SAKA who touched the ball over. 32² A cross from HAYES left FERGUSON in plenty of space but he snapped at his shot. 42² A corner was collected by KANE who turned the ball over. 48² A pin-point pass fell to FODEN and his right foot shot went narrowly over.
