6¹ POULSEN was put clear by TOMLIN and he turned the Southampton 'keeper but glanced his shot wide. 9¹ The 'keeper did well to hold onto a fierce shot from HENRY. 16¹ A shot from VIEIRA was smothered by STEKELENBURG. 21¹ HENRY shot wide. 23¹ GOAL!! After being forced wide HENRY managed to ram the ball in from the tightest of angles. (1-0 Southampton) 25¹ VIEIRA ran onto a wonderful ball from XABI ALONSO but fired his shot wide. 28¹ A good effort from TONI scraped the top of the crossbar. 30¹ A good ball from DEL PIERO on the left was collected by HENRY who scuffed his shot just beyond the far post. 32¹ The stunned 'keeper was all agog as a backpass from CRIS fell just over. 36¹ GOAL!! On the left wing XABI ALONSO collected a defender's clearance and hit it across the goalmouth for HENRY to crack it into the net. A twenty-five yard free-kick was cleverly thundered into the top corner by HENRY. (3-1 Southampton) 43² ZAMBROTTA drilled a right foot shot just beyond the far post from twenty-five yards out.
