2¹ MEJBRI was put clear by BROADHEAD and he dummied WEISS but thrust his shot just beyond the near post. 4¹ LANG worked the ball to HUTCHINSON, BROADHEAD controlled his pass and hoofed the ball within easy reach of the Wigan Athletic 'keeper. 9¹ BROADHEAD beat four Wigan Athletic players and blasted a shot inches wide. 12¹ A penalty box scramble resulted in MEJBRI cracking the ball over. 22¹ GOAL!! A great thirty yard shot from GELHARDT struck the post and in the ensuing scramble the ball was booted into the net by COLBACK. (1-0 Wigan Athletic) 27¹ WEISS saved a curling shot from HUTCHINSON. 28¹ A good ball from MORSY on the right bobbled toward FLETCHER who scuffed his shot over. 31¹ WILKINSON beat HUGHES and blasted the ball to RANKIN-COSTELLO who fired his shot wide. 44¹ GOAL!!
