(1-0 Wigan Athletic) 9¹ TOTTI hoofed the ball wide of the goal from the edge of the box. 15¹ A poor strike from ABATE rolled agonisingly wide. 18¹ The ref cautions NOCERINO for a poor foul. 28¹ An exceptional effort from DI MARÍA scraped the outside of the lefthand post. 30¹ GOAL!! A great solo effort from ZAMBROTTA who beat four defenders before striking the ball into the net. (1-1) 35¹ GOAL!! A quick-witted MARCHISIO pounced on a loose ball just inside the box and made no mistake. (2-1 Birmingham City) 36¹ SÁNCHEZ touched the ball through a crowd of players but SIRIGU was a match for it as he dived to his left. 39¹ Uncertainty in the Birmingham City defence enabled TOTTI to blast the ball wide. 41¹ The 'keeper did well to hold onto a fierce strike from DI MARÍA. 1² A good ball from SUBOTIC on the left fell to TOTTI who sliced his shot just wide. 8² A drive from ZAMBROTTA seemed a certain goal but WEIDENFELLER managed to palm the ball clear. 12² ABATE beat SUBOTIC and placed the ball to MICCOLI who hit his effort wide. 14² DI MARÍA shot over. 16² ABATE headed wide. 20² GOAL!!
