1¹ JOVIC's shot beat HUGO but rebounded off the Independiente upright. 5¹ The 'keeper saved a swerving effort from VECCHIO. 6¹ A accurate pass fell to RICCI and his right foot effort flew narrowly over. 16¹ SOTTIL flicked an easy chance past the lefthand post. 18¹ GOAL!! On the left wing LEWIS-POTTER collected a defender's clearance and hit it through the penalty area for MESSIAS to crack it into the back of the net. (1-0 Milan) 24¹ A useful ball from AINA on the right bobbled toward MESSIAS who sliced his shot over the bar. 28¹ MEZA knocked the ball to SOTTIL who flicked it just beyond the near post. 34¹ GOAL!! A poor clearance dropped to VRANCKX who sliced a shot goalward, luckily VECCHIO was on hand to hammer the ball in off the post. (1-1) 35¹ The hapless Independiente 'keeper could only watch as a backpass from ROJO fell just wide. 39¹ A shot from MESSIAS was smothered by HUGO. 41¹ BENEDETTO made space on the right and pulled the ball to SOTTIL who clipped the ball wide. 42¹ GOAL!! An energetic ROSIER ran down the left wing and touched the ball back for MEZA to nudge home. (2-1 Independiente) 1² A penalty box scramble resulted in DE VRIJ cracking a low shot over. 2² SOTTIL shot over. 5² A corner found MESSIAS who touched the ball just wide. 6² An inswinging corner was touched into the arms of HUGO by DE VRIJ. 8² The 'keeper was able to block a tame shot from MESSIAS. 9² GOAL!! A twenty yard free-kick was cleverly drove into the top corner by MESSIAS. (2-2) 10² GOAL!! A patient Independiente side were rewarded with an accurate shot from BENEDETTO. (3-2 Independiente) 12² An exceptional effort from BENEDETTO scraped the woodwork. 24² MESSIAS's shot was well saved by the 'keeper. 31² GOAL!! A quick free-kick allowed JOVIC to nudge the ball to MESSIAS who blasted a right foot shot into the back of the net. (3-3) 41² JOVIC was put clear by KONÉ and he raced past HUGO but rammed his shot inches wide. 43² RICCI ran onto a great ball from SMITH ROWE but pulled his effort wide of the lefthand post.
